Meet the designers

Per Börjesson

Per Börjesson, Senior Design Manager for Electrolux and member of the team that designed our new Inspiration Range remembers the defining moments of the project. Over nearly three years of design development the range took shape, drawing on the professional expertise gained from over 90 years of working with professional kitchens and laundries. The team worked to bring the best, tried and tested innovations from the professional world into your home.
Signature design

A key factor was using premium quality materials which gave a sense of "premiumness" to the range. The aesthetics of how these materials were put together was essential to the sense of the range - in looks, feel and function.

“It has very clean and nice shapes, architectural lines and soft curvature.”

Each appliance in the range has a distinct design - which make them both look and feel great. The convenient and simple to use programmes also make them a pleasure to use. And thanks to the signature design and time the team spent considering the range as a whole they all fit together beautifully, whether placed around a room or lined up next to each other.

“We have three or four different key signature elements, one of the most important is the flow line.”

Practical design

The new Inspiration Range offers solutions at your fingertips - from quick wash cycles to weight-sensors that can recommend the amount of detergent needed. The control panel of each product is a simple (and beautifully designed) route to the programme you need.

THE WASHING MACHINE HAS AN ACRYLIC LAYER ON THE TOP OF THE PANEL THAT'S CRYSTAL CLEAR WITH A SILVER FINISH BACKGROUND. THE USER INTERFACE IS IN BLACK WINDOW WITH WHITE LEDS.
